Initially, I started out as an uptown enthusiast trying to shape some sort of cultural buzz in laid-back city life. You know, cooking and art workshops, kid events, or even maybe music concerts, you name it. I literally didn’t hope for anything big, but I decided to give my idea a shot and started an Instagram page posting about the upcoming events I had organized — all on my own, without any messaging platforms.
Things went better than I expected, and soon my Instagram page was receiving more and more registrations each day, and I soon found myself drowning in a sea of paperwork and manual data entry.
It felt like being a one-horse circus, juggling all the registrations for my events, really. I was losing people’s data and was making confirmation calls for days on end. However, I wasn’t going to give up on my initiative and started looking for ways to shape and automate the message routine.
As a non-profit organization, I needed a tool to get started for free, so I stopped on SendPulse as it is available free of charge. It promised to give a free helping hand in running email marketing (just what I needed!), communication in messengers, and, of course, automation.
First off, I hurried to create an email list and finally have all participants in one place. Great opportunities to start for free at SendPulse and their email campaigns with up to 500 contacts. I only had around 200 at that time. Lit!
You just upload your contacts in any preferred way and can even verify the addresses through SendPulse.
By the way, tips on the SendPulse blog and YouTube channel have helped me get the hang of green email marketing, I never knew there were so many gotchas along the way!
SendPulse also allowed me to connect Automation 360, which was like having my own personal robot assistant who could send out automated emails to registrants at specific intervals leading up to the workshop.
I set up a series of automated emails that would be sent out one week before the workshop, the day before the workshop, and a few hours before the workshop. It was like sending out a series of virtual hugs to make sure everyone felt loved and appreciated.
I also loved using SendPulse's SMS reminders feature within this automation. I could send out automated text messages to remind registrants about the workshops a few hours before it was set to begin. Such little reminders to everyone, like "Hey, don't forget to bring your camera!📸" or "Just a heads up, there might be a clown sighting on the way to the workshop🤡" reduced the number of no-shows and ensured that every workshop was well-attended and enjoyable for everyone.
As I mentioned before, I started my event-managing activity on the Instagram page. So next, I didn’t hesitate to integrate a Instagram chatbot into my Instagram DMs and resolved the routine of answering the FAQs and providing information on upcoming events. The SendPulse knowledge base has helped me a lot. It might take time to figure everything out, but just hold on, you can make it.
Eventually, I got a personal assistant who could answer all the common questions about my events without me having to lift a finger. It was like having a little robot friend who could help attendees with anything they needed, like "What time does the workshop start?" or "Is it okay if I bring my pet llama?"
I’m planning on testing some advanced SendPulse chatbot features, like sending the schedule of upcoming events when someone mentions my page in their stories. Super excited!
Since SendPulse is basically a Marvel universe of marketing tools, I soon got unstoppable and started creating landing pages for my workshops. I built custom event landing pages that were so visually appealing I almost wanted to sign up for my own workshops.
I organized a photography workshop for kids and used SendPulse to create a custom landing page. All I did was using SendPulse’s ready-made template from its library!
That was so slick even the most tech-challenged parents could easily navigate it. It was like watching a bunch of preschoolers playing with Legos: easy, fun, and surprisingly productive.
Currently, I’m working on building my website and a CRM through...you guessed it — SendPulse. I’m really thankful there’s a platform that allows getting started for free and provides 24/7 support! It’s truly a rare find.
Overall, SendPulse was like a magical fairy godmother who came in and made my event-planning dreams come true. It was like having a personal army of helpful robots who could take care of everything, so I could focus on the fun stuff.
I highly recommend SendPulse to anyone who wants to make their event planning process easier and more enjoyable — from creating beautiful event landing pages to sending out engaging emails and SMS reminders. This platform has everything you need to take your events to the next level.
